Assembling Your UWater1 System

1 Environmental Requirements

  1. On the location where the filter is installed, municipal tap water connection is anecessity.
  2. The installation location should be clean and sanitary, no pollution around, and nodirect sunshine; no flammable or combustible or electrical equipment around, protectedfrom rain.

NOTE: Pay attention to personal safety when using drilling tool, and there’s should be no hidden water, electricity, or gas pipelines at the drilling position.

2 Place the System

Check and ensure there is enough space under the countertop to install the

system (15.75 " * 5.51 " * 14.17 ").

3 Install the Feed Water Adapter

1. Shut off the water supply. Turn on the kitchen faucet to release the water pressure;

    NOTE: Make sure the water has stopped running before proceeding to the next step. Get a towel or bucket to catch water.

    2. When installing the three-way valve, dismantle the faucet or angle valve first, connect the incoming water valve onto the three-way valve, then connect back to thefaucet or angle valve together with the three-way valve.
    3. Installation of incoming water pipe: using PE pipe to link incoming water ball valveand the water inlet of the cabinet. Be sure to leave enough reserved length.
    4. If the pressure of incoming water is over 0.4MPa, pressure valve needs to be purchased and installed in addition.

       

      4 Install the Faucet

      NOTE: If there is no hole in your kitchen sink or countertop, you have to drill one (1⅜") or use the hole from the soap dispenser.

      How to Drill a Hole into Your Sink or Countertop

      1. Insert the faucet spout into the faucet body;
      2. Insert the faucet stem into the hole on the countertop;
      3. Under the sink, slip on other parts in the order shown in the picture (Figure 8);
      4. Insert the Quick-Connect fitting onto the faucet stem fully and firmly.

       

      5 Connect Tubing

      1. Install the Input Water Tubing

        Connect the input water tubing from the feed water adapter to the input water port and pop the lock clip on the fitting;

        NOTE: Make sure it is fully inserted until you reach the mark on the tubing.

         

        2. Install the Filtered Water Tubing

          Connect the filtered water tubing from the faucet to the filtered water port and pop the lock clip on the fitting;

          NOTE: Make sure it is fully inserted until you reach the mark on the tubing.

          6 Install the Batteries

          Using screw driver to unscrew the battery compartment, put the 2 batteries into the compartment, screw the nut.

          NOTE: The batteries may not be installed and damage the spring wire if you install the batteries starting from the positive side.
